SLURP Survey is Live!

SLURP Survey is Live!!!!

We are pleased to announce that the SLURP Survey is live! Please take a moment to complete this short survey and share the link with your Ludington area neighbors and networks.

This survey is a critical component of the Port of Ludington Shoreline Land Use and Resiliency Plan (SLURP), an effort to equip the City of Ludington and Pere Marquette Township with information and resources to support resilient choices and investments in shoreline areas. In addition, the SLURP will include a broad, multi-jurisdictional vision for future land use around the Port of Ludington.

The survey is intended to engage the public to collect perspectives regarding waterfront areas in the Ludington community, including impacts of the recent period of high water and desired future land uses around Pere Marquette Lake. Responses will be synthesized with research to develop a set of potential community actions to address shoreline hazards, improve community resilience, and outline a common vision for the Port of Ludington.

The study is being conducted by the West Michigan Shoreline Regional Development Commission, with guidance provided by an advisory council of local stakeholders
