"For Immediate Release: Jebavy Drive from US-10 north to N. of Bryant Road
Pere Marquette Township, Mason County
Weather permitting, Jebavy Drive from just north of Johnson Road north to Bryant Road will be surfaced with HMA tomorrow (Friday July 21st). Through traffic will need to continue to use the detour route; Bryant, Washington, Tinkham/Johnson Friday morning through Friday late afternoon. Commercial Trucks should use Bryant, Washington to US-10. Once the HMA has cooled down enough for traffic, Jebavy Drive from Bryant Road to Johnson Road will be open to all traffic. The Contractor will then close Jebavy Drive from Johnson Road south to US-10. The Contractor will begin lowering the manhole covers on Saturday and Monday. The old existing HMA roadway between Johnson Road south to US-10 will be removed on Tuesday. The Contractor’s are currently 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
PHASE I - Jebavy Drive between Bryant Road and Johnson Road will be closed to through traffic beginning Monday July 10th anticipated through July 21st. Through traffic will need to use the detour route; Bryant, Washington, Tinkham/Johnson during this time. Commercial Trucks should use Bryant, Washington to US-10.
PHASE II – Jebavy Drive between Johnson Road and US-10 will be closed to through traffic beginning Friday July 21st in the late afternoon. Through traffic will need to use the detour route; US-10, Nelson, Tinkham/Johnson, Jebavy during this time. Commercial Trucks should use Bryant, Washington to US-10. Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be completed by Saturday August 5th. (Two weeks)
Businesses and Residences on Jebavy drive will have access to their property during the construction project. The public will have access only to businesses and residences on Jebavy Drive during the detour segments of the construction project. Through traffic will not be permitted in the construction area when there is a detour route. If you need to enter the Jebavy Drive project work area during construction, the access will be near Bryant Road (Phase I). You will not be able to access Jebavy Drive to the north from Johnson Road (Phase I).
If you need to enter the Jebavy Drive project work area during construction, the access will be near Johnson Road (Phase II). You will not be able to access Jebavy Drive to the north from US-10 (Phase II). Mail Carriers, Garbage Trucks, Emergency Vehicles, Residents, and the public should expect delays and use caution when driving within the project limits and when approaching construction equipment. Construction projects are inconvenient for the public but necessary to make road improvements. We appreciate your patience and cooperation."
