Lakeshore Drive Construction Update 9.25.2023
The HMA paving was completed on Wednesday, September 20th, and the roadway was painted with double yellow on Friday, September 22nd.
The Mason County Road Commission is currently working on the restoration and will be reconstructing the existing guardrail on the east side of the roadway.
It is anticipated that the Mason County Road Commission will be done with the project by Wednesday, September 27th.
South Lakeshore Drive will be one lane, with the temporary traffic light during the day when we are working.
South Lakeshore Drive, by Buttersville Park, in Pere Marquette Township will be reduced to one lane starting Monday September 11th, 2023.
The existing roadway is being reconstructed. The work is anticipated to take about two (2) weeks weather permitting. Please expect delays and be prepared to stop. Use caution when driving through the project. The roadway will be reduced to one lane during the roadwork.
