In addition to about a dozen full-time employees, Pere Marquette has over twenty individuals in service to the Township on various boards and commissions.  Service opportunities range from regular meetings twice a month to positions where individuals are "on call" to serve as needed.  For any of the Boards, Commissions, and Committees on this page, please contact Paul Keson, Township Supervisor, or send written correspondence to the Township Offices, Attn: [Name of Committee].

Current Vacancies on our Boards and Commissions

Board of Review: One position open for Alternate Member

  • Must be a Township resident and registered elector
  • Serves for a 2-year term
  • Attends training sessions
  • Attends all meetings:  in March, July, and December
  • Members and alternates are paid "per meeting"


Zoning Board of Appeals: One position open for Alternate Member

  • Must be a Township resident and registered elector
  • Serves for a 3-year term
  • Attends training sessions
  • Attends some meetings on a volunteer basis
  • Is on "stand by" to serve on meeting nights (normally 4 per year)
  • Alternates are paid for meetings they are required to attend
