NOTICE OF A PUBLIC HEARING
ON A PROPOSED CHANGE TO THE
PERE MARQUETTE CHARTER TOWNSHIP ZONING MAP

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, a public hearing will be held by the Pere Marquette Charter Township Planning Commission at the Pere Marquette Charter Township Office, 1699 S. Pere Marquette Hwy., Ludington, Michigan, at 6:30 p.m. local time, to hear and consider a petition for a change to the Pere Marquette Charter Township Zoning Map. 

The application was submitted by Carrie McCarthy, property owner, and is in regards to the parcel located at 117 N. Jebavy Drive, Ludington, MI; Parcel number 53010-014-200-036-00.  The proposal is a request to rezone the parcel from the C-1 Commercial District to the R-2 Medium Density Residential District in order to allow an opportunity for a residential use and professional services on the property.

This request for a change to the Township Zoning Map may be examined by any person at the Township Office at 1699 S. Pere Marquette Hwy., Ludington, Michigan, on any day of the week except Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Telephone: 231-845-1277).  Written comments concerning this rezone request will be received at the Township Office during those same hours.

Pere Marquette Charter Township will provide necessary and reasonable auxiliary aids and services at this hearing, such as signers for hearing-impaired persons and audiotapes of printed materials for visually impaired persons, upon receipt of five days prior notice.  Disabled persons requiring such auxiliary aids or services should so notify Pere Marquette Charter Township Clerk, Rachelle D. Enbody, at the Township Office (Telephone: 231-845-1277).

NOTICE OF ADOPTION
ORDINANCE NO. 147 

Ordinance No. 147, an ordinance to amend Chapter 109, Zoning, of the Pere Marquette Charter Township Code of Ordinances by adding language regarding the number of detached accessory buildings permitted in the R-1 and R-2 zoning districts; by revising the requirements for adding sidewalks to nonconforming lots; and by providing for the effective date of this amending ordinance; was adopted by the Pere Marquette Charter Township Board on October 13, 2020

This Ordinance will take effect eight days following publication in the Ludington Daily News.
